Pumpkins and Plates

I put Thursday's momentum towards giving part of my kitchen a fall face lift.
I guess at this point in our relationship, you have figured out that any decorating I do involves the use of dishware in some capacity. Plates are the dishware of choice for this little spree. Oh wait, plates are almost always my dishware of choice.
This is the autumn version of my kitchen wall. You might remember its Spring and Summer look as well. I'm thinking those other four plates need ribbon or something to jazz them up a bit. If glitter isn't right for the job, then by all means ribbon is.

I love those plates! Where did you get those gems? I didn't realize you change the whole wall every season. That would be fun to do.

On Mad men I have felt the very same! I thought it was just me, but it has been dragging a bit. Although last Sunday was pretty good. Didn't you get a kick out of the pic-nic scene where Betty just lifts the blanket and leaves all the trash on the grass!! My husband remembered that people use to do that, and his mom hated it. Then we got to remembering that in the late 60's early 70's they came out with that whole campaign with the little owl "Give a Hoot don't pollute" also the Indian that was so sad about the pollution that he was crying? I'm not sure if you remember those, but I sure do!
Betty's dress was so pretty with those earings. She looks fab in blue doesn't she?!

Those plates are darling. I too just love using ribbon. You will see bows of ribbon on anything that needed that extra touch..and things that didn't. Wendy

How about adding a garland made of the same material of what you have above the top plate but let it trail around the top of the large picture and down the sides so that it gives some of the adornment to the plates on the side as well as the whole thing at the same time.
I also like the idea of ribbon.
Either im sure you will make look lovely!
