Quibble and Kits

Have I ever told you that I have a weakness for glass jars? Of course I have. In fact, if it weren't for these little beauties I would scarcely have any topics for my blog posts. Now while I often yammer on and on about the jars, I don't always elaborate on the contents of the jars in my collection. That being said, I thought I should shine the spotlight on one of my favorites in honor of Pink Saturday. Do you remember Kits and BB Bats? They bring back happy memories of trips to the dime store candy counter when I was little. They also come in chocolate and banana flavor, but I love the pink wrappers on the strawberry the best. I've had these on display in this jar for going on ten years now. (I told you I was a whack-a-doodle) They've changed the packaging on the BB Bats since then, so I am glad I have this jar chock-full of the retro ones even though they are way too hard to nibble on now. Okay crazy enough to keep them for ten years, but not crazy enough to eat them after this long, thank you very much.

For a peak at other sweet pink treats, please pop over to the blog of our fabulous hostess Beverly for a list of all of this week's participants. Thanks for dropping by!

I loved BB Bats and Kits as a child, and we have a small local store that carries retro candy so I can still find them there! Great post and thanks for bringing back a wonderful childhood memory!

So pretty! How I love candy. We need more of it. Now when I visit the candy aisle at the grocery store, I see great need: MORE PINK, MORE FUN TEMPTATIONS!
I like jars, too. They are so important looking, so inviting, so practical yet beautiful. Great post and Happy Pink Saturday to YOU!

Oh, my husband have gone round and round about my fetish for glass jars filled with fabulous, colorful candies. I love to tie the colors in with the holiday/time of year. He is convinced that having them on the counter leads to a free-for-all. I just love the look. I also have filled my jars with white feathers, nuts with some glittered with silver Martha tinsel glitter, large handmade candy canes and of course ribbons seperated by color. I can't get enough. My themed/color filled jars are a must at a party.

We don't have that type of candy here. Must say, 10 years is long time! WEll I guess they were waiting to be featured on a Pink Saturday LOL But I do relate on how it feels to have something from your childhood that was gone and then have a comeback after all those years :-)

Happy Pink Saturday!
