Whatnot Wednesday

Someday I am going to show you my studio... I love the book Where Women Create, which features fantastic photos of the work spaces of creative souls. I love to get to see what's behind the curtain and where the magic happens. At present, the only crew that might be interested in coming to my house for a photo shoot would be from the less widely read publication...Where Trolls Create. And the only magic that is happening is how I'm making the mess "disappear" by covering it with this lovely piece of shabby chic fabric.

So rather than be productive and do something like...CLEAN, I decided to give you a peek at one of my favorite finds. I found this pink gumball machine at a local antique mall several years back and fell in love with it. For awhile it was in my daughter's room with pastel baby blocks on display inside. Recently I moved it to my studio as an inspiration piece. I love to have pretties in close proximity while I'm creating. This little dogie is part of a larger collection, but he likes to break away from the pack every now and again for some alone time.

Alright, so at some future date I will give you a pulled back look at the joint. And to answer your question "Yes, it really is THAT terrible!"

Yes, I will look forward to the behind the scenes at some point, but I know exactly what you mean...my craft room is a mess! Piles and piles of crap everywhere...and try sharing it with a 2 year old! HA! Toy/Craft rooms don't have much hope!
Have a good day...xo natalea

Oh Melissa, that pink gumball machine is adorable. It would even be cute with seashells in it for the summer.

If you ever want to get rid of it, send it my way.

Hugs,
LeAnn :)

Hey, at least you have a studio! Right now I do all my sewing in the kitchen. Luckily I can leave it there and just eat in the dining room, but It is pain! I have a spare room, that rarely gets used, and I think I'm getting ready to overhaul it and make it mine soon.
Cute gum ball machine :)

....LOL.... I can soooo relate to your post on your studio working conditions, I have talked several times on my blog about my office chaios and how I work,
I feel like I should put a sign above the door "Caution Mad Scientist at work"
but I take comfort in the fact that its one of the signs of a creative mind! at least thats the story im going with...lol...
smiles,
Sandy
